Fabric of Israel: My Prayer Shawl for the Jewish State and The Jewish People
The fabric used for this Jewish prayer shawl was printed with photo collages and artwork depicting a story from the Holocaust to the founding and flourishing of the Jewish state.
It is a story that I literally wrap myself in and around.
It gives meaning to my life.
Since the wanton murder of around 1,200 innocent Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023 by Hamas terrorists from Gaza (including the burning and decapitation of Jewish infants), a sizable minority of American Jews are reconnecting with their heritage.
The imagery on the prayer shawl includes missiles being fired at Israeli civilian targets by Hamas terrorists starting in October of 2001; Israel Defense Force tanks and jets; and ordinary Israeli children and families.
As of August 19, 2026, this is my most recent post about 10/7/2023.
